Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 Prepares for First Asian Edition at Wisdom Valley
Tomorrowland’s long-awaited Asian debut now has a clear place, date and scale: 11 to 13 December 2026, at Wisdom Valley in Khao Mai Kaeo, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi.
The first Thai edition of the Belgium-born electronic dance music festival is moving from announcement to construction. According to Rachata Thunyavuthi, an executive board member of WEAREONE.WORLD (THAILAND) CO., LTD., preparations are under way both inside and outside the festival site, with on-site stage structures and installations already more than 40% complete.
The project is being positioned as far more than a weekend of DJ sets. It is expected to bring major economic activity to Chonburi and set the tone for Tomorrowland’s first Asian chapter.

Wisdom Valley becomes the centre of Tomorrowland’s Asian debut
Tomorrowland began in Belgium and built its global name through immersive stage design, large-scale storytelling and a festival atmosphere that goes beyond a standard EDM concert. Thailand was chosen for the festival’s first Asian edition after more than 10 years of searching for the right location.
Wisdom Valley, in Khao Mai Kaeo subdistrict, became that location.
Rachata said the landowners, the Teepsuwan family, played a major role in making the project possible. The family agreed to reshape the land to create the atmosphere required for the festival. They also co-invested in filling in a lake to support heavy stage structures, described as weighing 1,000 tonnes per square metre.
That kind of preparation gives a sense of the physical scale involved. Tomorrowland events are known for enormous built environments, not just temporary platforms. In Thailand, more than 120 containers of structures have already been shipped from Belgium, with some sections now being installed.
Work began on 15 October, and the installation schedule is expected to finish within 60 days of that start date.
The 2026 edition will introduce the Consciencia concept
The first Tomorrowland Thailand edition will run under the concept “Consciencia”. The theme will be expressed through six main stages, each connected to one of six primal human emotions:
Wonder
Love
Anger
Joy
Desire
Sadness
This gives the 2026 festival a clear creative direction from the start. Rather than relying only on lighting and sound, each stage is expected to carry its own mood, design language and musical character.
Rachata described Tomorrowland as an experience that differs from common ideas of a DJ festival.
“Many describe it as ‘Disneyland for adults’. You are amazed from the moment you step inside and want to photograph everything you see.”
That comment points to one of Tomorrowland’s strongest draws: the environment matters as much as the line-up. The festival is designed to be visually engaging in daylight as well as after dark, with landmarks and detailed installations placed throughout the site.
Thai design and culture will be part of the festival identity
A key feature of the Thai edition will be a special stage called CODEX. Its design will include Thai-style decoration inspired by the gable of a traditional Thai house.
That detail matters because it gives the first Asian edition a local identity rather than making it a direct copy of the Belgian event. Tomorrowland is global, but the Thailand edition appears set to include visual cues, food and performances tied to its host country.
Thai performers will appear alongside well-known international DJs. More than 70% of the food available at the festival will also be Thai, giving the event a strong local flavour beyond the stages.
For a festival that draws international attention, this balance is important. The production may come with global scale, but the experience still needs to feel rooted in Thailand.

The economic impact could exceed THB 5 billion
Rachata said economic activity linked to the festival is expected to exceed the projected THB 5 billion. That figure reflects more than ticket sales. A festival of this size can affect hotels, transport, food suppliers, local hiring, construction, tourism services and the wider visitor economy.
Chonburi already has strong tourism infrastructure, especially around Pattaya and nearby coastal areas. Hosting a major international event at Wisdom Valley could extend activity further inland and draw both Thai and overseas visitors during the December travel period.
Some of the likely areas of impact include:
Area | Likely activity |
Accommodation | Hotel bookings and short-stay demand across Chonburi |
Transport | Local transfers, inter-provincial travel and airport connections |
Food and beverage | Thai food vendors, suppliers and festival catering |
Construction and production | Site works, stage installation, technical crews and logistics |
Tourism | Longer stays before or after the festival weekend |
The international profile of Tomorrowland may also help Thailand strengthen its reputation as a host for large-scale music and cultural events.
The festival is planned to change every year
Tomorrowland’s first Thai edition is not being treated as a one-off event. During its initial years in Thailand, from 2026 to 2031, the festival is expected to change annually. That includes a new main-stage concept each year.
This approach is central to Tomorrowland’s appeal. Fans often return not only for the artists, but also to see how the festival world has changed from one edition to the next.
For Thailand, that means the 2026 event will serve as the opening chapter. The Consciencia theme, the six emotional stages and the CODEX stage will introduce the format. Future editions are expected to bring new designs, new stories and fresh stage concepts.
The preparation now under way at Wisdom Valley suggests a long-term vision. The land is being reshaped, stage structures have travelled from Belgium, and local cultural elements are being built into the first edition.
The main takeaway is clear: Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 is being planned as a full-scale destination festival, not simply an imported EDM event. If the build-out stays on schedule, Chonburi will host one of the most closely watched music events in Asia when the gates open in December 2026.
